Analytical Study and Comparison of Electromagnetic Characteristics of 8-Pole 9-Slot and 8-Pole 12-Slot Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines Considering Rotor Eccentricity

In this study, a magnetic field is analyzed using an analytical method and compared with the electromagnetic characteristics of 8-pole 9-slot 12-slot permanent magnet synchronous machines considering rotor eccentricity. The flux density back electromotive force (EMF) are derived perturbation theory theory. First, Fourier modeling performed through magnetization modeling, two analysis regions set based on several assumptions for applying method. Accordingly, governing equations in form Poisson Laplace equations. addition, undefined coefficients general solutions calculated appropriate boundary conditions, EMF air gap region definition vector potential. results obtained finite element experimental results. we perform torque eccentricity analyze ripple cases involving pole/slot combination.

In the present work, an integrated method of pole shape design optimization for reduction of torque pulsation components in permanent magnet synchronous motors is developed. A progressive design process is presented to find feasible optimal shapes.
